South Western Sydney Local Health District oversees six public hospitals and fourteen community health centers in south western Sydney. Through collaborative networking with hospitals in the larger Sydney region, SWSLHD provides specialist medical services. In addition they offer support in areas of prevention, early intervention and rehabilitative care. They also provide oral, mental and drug health services at their facilities.

SWSLHD district includes the Bankstown-Lidcombe hospital, Bowral and District hospital, Campbeltown hospital, Camden hospital, along with Fairfield and Liverpool hospitals.

The SWSLHD library catalogue is powered through Koha, a specialized online library management system. Koha provides users with a means to browse and search for specific resources such as textbooks, eBooks, publications and research papers.

Users browsing the digital catalogue at SWSLHD can search by authors, item and record types, collections and holding libraries these works belong to. They can then check the availability and place holdings for these items.

Koha provides a simple and easy to learn interface for cataloging items, and for users to place holdings, search for or check availability of items.
